Helping Business Owners Build Stronger Businesses Through Better Decisions
Business ownership is a continual series of decisions. Some shape the future of the company. Others determine how effectively it responds to opportunities, challenges, and change.
Over four decades as a CEO, CFO, founder, executive advisor, and board member, I've learned that the best decisions begin with one simple question:
"What do you want your business to ultimately provide for you?"
I founded LumaKa Advisors to help business owners answer that question with clarity—and then build the business capable of achieving that vision.

Every Engagement Starts with a Conversation
I don't believe the best advisory relationships begin with a proposal or a predefined service.
They begin with a conversation.
Before recommending an engagement, I want to understand your business, your goals, your challenges—and most importantly, what you want your business to ultimately provide for you.
For many clients, that conversation naturally begins with The LumaKa Advisors Executive Business Vision Session™. Others begin with Executive Advisory, a Business Assessment, or an Implementation Blueprint. Every business is different, and every owner begins from a different place.
My role is never to sell you more than you need. It is to recommend the engagement that will help you move forward with the greatest clarity, confidence, and purpose.
Why "LumaKa"?
People often ask about the name.
LumaKa (pronounced Loo-mah-KAH) is derived from parts of my first name, Luis, my youngest daughter's name, Madeleine, and my wife's name, Erika. I wanted a name that was both distinctive and personal—one that reflects the importance of family and the values that have shaped both my life and my career.
While the name is personal, the mission is straightforward: helping business owners gain clarity, make better decisions, build stronger businesses, and create greater long-term Enterprise Value.
My Approach
Throughout my career, I've learned that businesses rarely struggle because owners lack commitment. More often, they struggle because leadership must make important decisions without enough clarity—or without first defining what success truly looks like.
That's why my work goes beyond finance.
As an executive advisor, I help owners align business strategy with their Executive Business Vision, evaluate opportunities objectively, challenge assumptions, navigate uncertainty, and strengthen Financial Stability, Business Resilience, Profitability, and Sustainable Growth.
My objective isn't simply to solve today's problem. It's to help build a business capable of delivering the future you want.
A Simple Philosophy
I believe business owners don't need more information.
They need greater clarity.
Clarity creates confidence.
Confidence enables better decisions.
Better decisions build stronger businesses.
Stronger businesses create greater possibilities.
That philosophy guides every client conversation and every recommendation I make.
Let's Build Something Stronger
Every business has a unique story, and every owner has a unique vision for the future.
If you're looking for an experienced executive advisor who will listen first, think strategically, and help you build a business that supports your long-term vision, I'd welcome the opportunity to meet you.
Let's start with a conversation.
